Trees, the source of our wood products, naturally absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere, utilizing it to fuel their growth and releasing life-giving oxygen (O2) back into the air. Moreover, the surplus carbon remains stored within the wood, even when it becomes part of the built environment.
By harnessing the innate sustainability ingrained in our natural resources, MJB delivers products that excel in performance while significantly reducing carbon emissions. The composite wood panels we provide to many industries, are made with responsibly sourced materials and contain more sequestered carbon than the amount expended during their entire lifecycle, including production, transportation, and installation. In fact, in 2022 alone, the wood products sold by MJB captured approximately 531,000 tons of CO2, surpassing our company's emissions of roughly 285,000 tons of CO2 during the same period.
