Medium Density Fiberboard

MDF is comprised of resin, wax, and hardwood or softwood fibers that have been heated and compressed together. It is an adaptable construction material that is suitable for a wide range of applications, including cabinetry, furniture, retail fixtures, and other applications. MDF has a smooth surface that is ideal for painting.

Particleboard

Particleboard, often referred to as chipboard or low-density fiberboard, is created by pressing and extruding wood chips with a synthetic resin or another equivalent binder. Particle board can replace traditional wood and plywood since it is less expensive, denser, and more uniform. Painting or applying wood veneer to exposed areas of particleboard can enhance its appearance. It is one of the lightest fiberboards available, while still being denser than regular wood. Particleboard is weaker and less dense than hardboard and medium-density fiberboard.
